Toshiba’s Tegra-2 Android Smart Pad Soon To Be Known As Folio 100

Rumors about the Toshiba Smart Pad have been floating around in recent, but it looks like Smart Pad is not the name of the device. Notebookitalia is claiming that the Android powered tablet will be released under the name of Folio 100. Along with the name they are also handing over some unconfirmed specs. The “Folio 100” should have a 1024×600 screen resolution, 2 USB 2.0 ports, HDMI, 16GB of internal storage, 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth, 3G, SD and MMC card readers, a 1.3 megapixel webcam, and a 1020mAh battery with a battery life of up to 7 hours with mixed use (browsing and video playback). We might also see some sort of Toshiba dock. Now in terms of software, it looks like the Folio 100 will be packing Android 2.2, Opera Mobile browser Flash 10.1, an e-book reader, and some office applications. We will keep our eyes out for this thing. We just hope it does not turn out to be a Foleo.
